CENTRAL SECTOR SCHEME OF SCHOLARSHIP2014 CSSS-MHRD FOR COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS RENEWAL BY MHRD,NEW DELHI

The Department of Higher Education has introduced a new scheme for meritorious students from low income families going to colleges / universities for implementation during the XI Five Year Plan period with an approved outlay of Rs. 1000 crore. This is a Central sector scheme titled “ Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students”

FOR GIRLS:41000

The scholarships are maintained by the state intermediate education boards and Central board of secondary education under the MHRD-Newdelhi,

These state boards first select intermediate+2 students provisionally,send enquiry form to their colleges that students have to apply for selection,on the basis of some rules and conditions state board select some students for the award of scholarship

The ratio of selection is

Science
Commerce
Humanities

The allotment of scholarships shall be done in the ratio of 3:2:1.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criterion is:

A minimum of 80% and above marks must be scored by the applicants in class 10+2.
Students must belong to the non-creamy layer.
Students must not be recipients of any other scholarships when they are applying for this scholarship.

The scholarship shall be renewed every year till the course is completed.

Attendance:75% Per year
Percentage:above 60% in the last university or college exams
