Job Description:
Designation: Trainee- Program Delivery
To work with/on children in the school environment as per the school timetable throughout the year, to develop/nurture/structure their thinking with the help of thinking tools and mind games, in accordance with the THOTS curriculum to develop Higher Order Thinking Skills amongst UKG to Grade VIII students.
Key responsibilities/ activities:
1. Delivery of THOTS lessons as per the THOTS curriculum (including worksheets) inside the school (on behalf of the company) as per the school timings.
2. Children Management –
a. Maintaining the discipline & decorum in the class where a lesson is delivered with the help of physical thinking tools and mind games
b. Profiling the children – classification, segmentation, grouping, etc.
c. Understand and address (in conjunction with parents) any critical issue(s) faced with any children.
3. Interaction with parents & teachers -
a. Attending to the concerns, suggestions, etc. of the parents of children undergoing THOTS, while being a part of school PTM’s and even otherwise.
b. Briefing & conducting orientation programs for teachers & parents of the children – current as well prospective (wherever applicable)
4. Tools’ Management –
a. Keep tab of tools – physical check and stocking.
b. Carry tools to deliver THOTS curriculum
5. Reporting –
a. Sending weekly delivery reports to THOTS regional head to ensure timely tool management and circulation amongst different schools and locations.
b. Maintaining cordial relationships with the school authorities, keeping them updated on the delivery status of THOTS to the students enrolled in their school (as per the standard status report structure being followed at Mind Edutainment).
c. Daily update of classes delivered any input from the school to the reporting manager
d. Attendance record of children (in the school)
6. Coordination with school authorities -
a. Coordinating with school authorities for any requirement including finalizing school teachers’ workshops, parents’ workshops, etc… on behalf of THOTS management.
7. Adhere to school timetable and time punctuality.
8. Following the code and conducts of the assigned school(s) when in the school premises.
9. Following and adhering to the guidelines meant for THOTS facilitators at all times.
10. Undergo training programs as when required & mandated
11. Don’ts – Not to be like a teacher!!
Profile requirement:
Education: B.ed,MA - Psychology. Excellent English language skills required.
Personality traits: Friendly, ever smiling, pleasing, willingness to work with children, patience, cool-headed, honesty in acceptance of own mistakes, punctuality, discipline
Capabilities/ skills: Good communication, command on English language, ability to relate to others by being in their situation/shoes, willingness to unlearn and relearnDo’s & Don’ts: Authoritative, Rigidity, Stubbornness, Experience in the field of teaching.
Training Shall be required to attend 7-10 days residential training to get trained on understanding Mind mechanics, THOTS Curriculum delivery, and other processes.
